Marius Schultz er en norsk fotograf som arbeider med langsiktige tematiske serier der tid, natur og menneskelig nærvær er sentrale elementer. Arbeidet hans bygger på intuisjon og en søken etter fotografier som rommer stemning, stillhet og emosjonell dybde.
Han arbeider langsomt, ofte over mange år, der motivene får utvikle seg i takt med tid, lys og erfaring. Naturen er ikke bare bakgrunn, men en aktiv del av bildene — et rom der følelser, forandring og nærvær får tre frem. Han bruker naturlig lys, analog film og arbeider konsekvent med det samme kameraet og objektivet for å bevare kontinuitet og presisjon.
Gjennom ulike serier utforsker han vekst, transformasjon, minner og relasjonen mellom mennesket og omgivelsene. Arbeidene hans er vist internasjonalt, blant annet ved Oslo Negativ, National Museum, Preus Museum, Athens Photo Festival og Galleri Semmingsen. I 2017 ga han ut boken A Conversation with Nature, lansert under Paris Photo. Han er medlem av Forbundet Frie Fotografer og mottaker av LensCulture Portfolio Award og Oslo Fotografihuset Award.

Marius Schultz is a Norwegian photographer working with long-term thematic series in which time, nature, and human presence are central elements. His work is guided by intuition and a search for photographs that hold atmosphere, silence, and emotional depth.
He works slowly, often over many years, allowing subjects to develop in relation to time, light, and experience. Nature is not merely a background, but an active part of the image — a space where feeling, transformation, and presence can emerge. He works with natural light, analogue film, and consistently uses the same camera and lens to preserve continuity and precision.
Across different series, he explores growth, transformation, memory, and the relationship between people and their surroundings. His work has been exhibited internationally, including at Oslo Negativ, National Museum, Preus Museum, Athens Photo Festival, and Galleri Semmingsen. In 2017 he published the book A Conversation with Nature, launched at Paris Photo. He is a member of Forbundet Frie Fotografer and recipient of the LensCulture Portfolio Award and the Oslo Fotografihuset Award.
